The Forum for Orientation and Recruitment, FORWARD, took place for the first time in Lebanon in May 2001. Since then, it has successfully evolved as a key forum where all parties concerned with employment, education and training can meet and interact effectively to keep up with the increasing challenges of the global market.
For the 8th consecutive year, FORWARD is once again here to make things happen by providing a viable platform for all players in the economic arena to share ideas and coordinate their actions
FORWARD 2008 will take place at BIEL - Beirut from April 17th till April 20th, 2008
FORWARD 2008 is organized by the Center for Orientation and Documentation (COD) and CAREERS, with the collaboration of all concerned Ministries.
FORWARD 2008 promises to bring in this year a variety of innovative activities and services to meet once again the expectations of all visitors and exhibitors and it keeps its promises.

FORWARD 2008 aims to establish true links between high school students, university students and job seekers on the one hand and the Higher Education Institutions, Training Centers and Enterprises on the other hand
FORWARD 2008 is here to provide the youth with an opportunity to get properly acquainted with the different branches and specializations in local and international universities, to communicate with professionals and benefit from their experience, and to be able to find employment or internship opportunities
FORWARD 2008 is here to give adult job seekers the chance to find better job opportunities and enhance their career
FORWARD 2008 is here to give universities and enterprises the opportunity to promote their services and products, and to actively recruit the best talents in the region

SPECIAL SERVICES FOR OVERSEES PARTICIPANTS___
The Organizers of FORWARD will assist International Exhibitors in their traveling arrangements on the one hand (visa procedures, assistance in transportation of exhibiting equipment and material, hotel reservations) and during their stay in Lebanon on the other hand (airport pick up, transportation, outings to visit the most enchanting tourist sites in Lebanon, …)
The Organizers will also offer to arrange contacts and appointments upon the request of Exhibitors to meet with specific parties during their stay in Lebanon .
In addition, the Organizers will provide special services to the International Exhibitors as follows:
COMPANIES:
The Organizers will provide, after the four days of the Forum, a one-year follow up service free of charge on the CV's collected by the participating companies from oversees, including:
Giving more details regarding information mentioned in the CV's such as the educational background (Importance of the university and its rank in the market,…) and former employers (size of the company, rank in the market, …)
Checking candidates' references
Contacting candidates and setting appointments on behalf of the company
Providing a meeting place for the interviews EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS :
Consultants and specialists will be available during the fair to assist the international educational institutions and answer their inquiries about issues related to regulations, qualifications, equivalence and accreditation in Lebanon .

The Forum for Orientation and Recruitment FORWARD 2008 will be held at Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center (BIEL), one the largest and most prestigious exhibition centers in Lebanon , located on the waterfront of the Mediterranean Sea and in the heart of Beirut Central District (Solidere), two minutes away from Beirut Port and ten minutes away from Beirut International Airport .
The exhibition space will exceed 6000 sqm and comprise the following zones:
